On Monday, March 28th, The Luminary will present Destroyer with The War on Drugs as a part of the monthly Elevator Music Series. A mainstay on record players of literate listeners, Destroyer makes the kind of music you want to study up on just to appreciate. As a member of The New Pornographers and Swan Lake, Dan Bejar injects a density into all of his projects. When left on his own with Destroyer, the narratives play out over entire ouvres, each album referring back to the last with its own logic.
