The Luminary's musician-led project series, LAB, features St. Louis-based Hip Hop collective MME. The six person outfit will take over The Luminary for a one-night-only multidisciplinary event that embraces the collective's artistic vision across music, visuals, and performance.
Individual members of MME will perform special solo sets throughout the night before joining together to finish as a full band. This will be the release show for Con and producer Michael Franco’s She EP and Ciej’s DBS Heaven full-length album. It will also be the premiere of new music from Mvstermind's RARECANDY3, Mir, and Lyrique. Dante Wolfe performs for the first time in St. Louis.
MME partners with Civil Ape, a boutique streetwear line designed by local artists, on a pop-up shop featuring a diverse line of MME branded clothing including t-shirts, jerseys, and more. The collaboration feels organic, deeply inspired, and fresh with a palette of bold colors and original designs. Throughout the night select garments will be highlighted in unexpected and imaginative presentations by models.
Finally, The Luminary's galleries will be transformed by visual art projections and a themed photo booth to complete MME's vision for this latest installment of LAB as they holistically explore their artistic practice.
The Luminary's Concert Series is sponsored in part by Master Pieza, MELT, and Urban Chestnut Brewing Company.
