Off Modern Closing Reception + Tatiana Istomina Artist Talk

Join us at 6pm on March 2nd, 2017 for the closing reception of Off Modern: In What Time Do We Live? and an artist talk with Tatiana Istomina.

For the closing, The Luminary's current artist-in-residence Tatiana Istomina will discuss her work on view in the exhibition, a comprehensive survey of little known Russian-American modernist artist Alissa Blumenthal's work. Additionally, Istomina will introduce new multimedia work based on the biography of Hélène Rytman – the wife of prominent French philosopher, Louis Althusser, who admitted to strangling her to death in 1980 but faced no charges by reason of temporary insanity.
