Margaret Chardiet was born and raised in New York City. As a founding member of the Red Light District collective in Far Rockaway, NY, she has been a figurehead in the underground experimental scene since the age of seventeen.

Bestial Burden is a thematically intense album based on a major surgery Chardiet had just before she was set to go on her first European tour. It's the second Pharmakon LP for Sacred Bones Records, following 2013's critically acclaimed Abandon, and it's a harrowing collection of deeply personal industrial noise tracks, each one brimming with struggle and weighted with the intensity of Chardiet's internal conflict.

Ghost Ice
Jeremy Kannapell is an artist, filmmaker and musician and has been actively participating in St. Louis's experimental music scene for the past 10 years. Performing under the moniker Ghost Ice, Kannapell creates collaged stereoscopic bursts of electronic sound combining homemade gear, tapes, and synthesizers, while fusing influences ranging from French Musique Concrete to post-Industrial sound tactics, and finds himself located in the vibrant underground network of current American experimentalists. He has performed with the likes of Kites, Russian Tsarlag, John Wiese, Bhob Rainey, No Age, Bitchin Bajas, Circuit Des Yeux and many others.

The Luminary's Concert Series is sponsored in part by Master Pieza, MELT, and Urban Chestnut Brewing Company.
