Temporary Art Review

Temporary Art Review is a platform for contemporary art criticism that focuses on alternative spaces and critical exchange among disparate art communities. Temporary is a national network, highlighting both practical and theoretical discourse through exhibition reviews, interviews, essays and features on artist-run spaces and projects.

Temporary was founded by Sarrita Hunn and James McAnally in 2011 in order to create space for discussion across disparate geographies, respond to issues that artists and arts organizers are concerned about in the present moment, and attempt to understand how equitable exchange in the arts could be modeled, matured and embedded in our daily practices. The Luminary has acted as the Publisher of Temporary Art Review since its inception and continues to provide ongoing support.
