Sonya Dyer and her think tank the ...And Beyond Institute for Future Research will be in residence at The Luminary to present a series of workshops towards a public reception.

In the shadow of demographic change, political anxiety and the search for neighborliness across local and international boundaries – how might we live together?

Using techniques from Design Fiction and auto ethnography, and inspired by speculative fiction, Dyer will create an environment where collective ideas on what a future commons could be, and how it might be formed.

This project is inspired by an adapted quote from Claudia Jones, a Trinidad-born activist and pioneering journalist who impacted the lives of oppressed people in the USA and UK, which forms a work in process for The Luminary – ‘The People's Art is the Genesis of Their Freedom.
