The Luminary is thrilled to announce the 2022 Process-As-Practice Residents!
Meghana Karnik, Curator-in-Residence
Elena Levi, Administrator-in-Residence
Shawné Michaelain Holloway, Designer-in-Residence
Maggie Wong, Educator-in-Residence
This residency supports the less visible and acknowledged spaces of research and process. If we require new ways of living and working, to quote Christina Sharpe, “We must become undisciplined. The work we do requires new modes and methods of research and teaching.” The Luminary will facilitate space for risk and failure, as this session intends to empower practitioners to experiment, build, test, and rebuild new curatorial, administrative, design, and educational methods together.
With the guidance and support of Stephanie Koch, Gallery Director, four residents will participate in a 10-month hybrid residency with equal focus on individual projects, collaborative work, and collective study.

Thank you to our reviewers Patricia Margarita Hernández, Anaïs Duplan, and Kalaija Mallery. And we also show appreciation to all that applied! We know that writing an application is not only your time and energy but can also be a vulnerable process. We are very grateful to each applicant that let us spend time with their work.
