Fiscal Sponsorship at The Luminary

Fiscal Sponsorship at The Luminary: Applications Now Open

November 7, 2026

Applications are now open for Fiscal Sponsorship at The Luminary, allowing eligible projects to access the benefits of 501(c)(3) status, without needing to create their own nonprofit.

With fiscal sponsorship, projects can apply for grants open only to nonprofits, accept tax-deductible donations, and get admin support at the level they need. The program carries forward the fiscal sponsorship work that began at Midwest Artist Project Services (MAPS), now with a new home at The Luminary.

The Luminary offers three levels of support, from projects that run their own books to projects that grow as a program of The Luminary. Every sponsored project also gets review of fundraising materials and grant applications, and joins a learning community of fiscally-sponsored peers.
