The Luminary is Hiring: Exhibition & Production Technician (Contract)

The Luminary is seeking an experienced technician to support fabrication, exhibition installation and deinstallation, and technical production for performances, screenings, and special programs.

This role assists with building and preparing artworks, installing exhibitions, and supporting the technical systems required for time-based programs and events.

Technicians may be asked to assist with or run sound, projection, and lighting systems depending on the needs of the program.

This is a project-based, contract position with work scheduled as exhibitions and programs are produced.

Ideal experience includes:
• Exhibition installation, art handling, and lighting
• Woodworking, fabrication, or display construction
• Audio/visual systems for screenings, performances, and talks
• Operating sound or lighting for live programs
• Ability to troubleshoot technical systems in a fast-paced production environment

Rate: $35/hour
Contract work scheduled as needed.
