The Luminary Raises over $18,000 of Artist Project support at One Hundred²
4.30.2025
This past Saturday, The Luminary presented the first One Hundred², bringing together 113 artists and hundreds of works in a one-night format that asked audiences to move differently. To look closely, decide in real time, and trust the process.
The response was extraordinary.
Throughout the evening, the galleries were full and the energy was constant. Over 400 people moved through the space, and more than 30 local businesses contributed to the raffle. What stood out most was the level of attention people brought to the work. The space felt focused, generous, and fully alive. It was a reminder of what can happen when artists and audiences meet in a shared moment of commitment.
Moments like this also speak to something larger. The depth of support we saw is a reflection of St. Louis as an active and essential part of a broader cultural ecosystem, one that is driven by artists, sustained through local investment, and connected to conversations happening far beyond the city.
Together, we raised over $18,000 to directly support The Luminary’s programs. That support will translate into future exhibitions, Futures Fund projects for regional artists, and artist residencies in the year ahead.
We also heard from many attendees who wanted to connect with artists, even when works had already sold. We’re currently exploring ways to share a catalogue of participating artists so that those connections can continue beyond the event.
We’re deeply grateful to the 113 artists who contributed their work, the volunteers and partners who made the evening possible, and everyone who showed up with curiosity and care.
This is what it looks like to build something together.
More to come soon.
With gratitude,
Kalaija
