The Luminary’s anti-gala benefit for non-commodifiable art practice

The Luminary doesn’t need a gala. We need a house party.

After years of tired pomp and circumstance, it’s time to get real. The old guard is changing. And we’re here for it.

So this year, we’re skipping the gala and taking over Tschüss for the night.

NO DINNER. NO TABLES. NO AUCTION. NO VIP.

Instead: artists, friends, drinks, dancing, live performance by The Dhoruba Collective, a late night set by DJ Limewire Prime, and a really good party in support of The Luminary.

HOUSE PARTY is our anti-gala: no velvet ropes, no donor hierarchy, no long speeches. Artists are guests, not entertainment for donors. Giving should feel easy, generous, and maybe even fun.

Every ticket and every extra dollar supports The Luminary’s work: paying artists, keeping exhibitions free and accessible, supporting experimental and interdisciplinary practice, and making space for artists to take risks in St. Louis.
