Artist 2 Artist: Poppy DeltaDawn on Ximena Garrido-Lecca
Tuesday, November 17, 2026 | 6–7 PM | The Luminary | RSVP
Join us for Artist 2 Artist, a program inviting artists to engage with the work of their peers through conversation, interpretation, and shared inquiry. For this edition, Kansas City-based artist Poppy DeltaDawn responds to Signal Interludes, a solo exhibition by Ximena Garrido-Lecca.
Beginning with a brief introduction to her own practice and its connections to Garrido-Lecca's work, DeltaDawn will lead a guided tour of the exhibition, offering new perspectives on its materials, ideas, and underlying questions.
About the Artist
Poppy DeltaDawn is an artist and educator working across digital Jacquard weaving, hand weaving, basketry, video, and land-based practices. Her work explores relationships between textiles, computation, labor, and land, approaching weaving as a technology of order and encoding. She has exhibited at DIMIN, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Zürcher Gallery, and BRIC, among others, and participated in residencies at MASS MoCA and the Fire Island Artist Residency. She is currently Assistant Professor of Textiles + Fiber at the University of Kansas.
Join us November 17 for an artist-led exploration of Signal Interludes.
